New measures for Humanitarian Parole: Strengthening the security and integrity of the program

The Humanitarian Parole program has been reinstated with a series of additional measures aimed at strengthening its security and integrity. Among the new safeguards are more rigorous scrutiny of financial sponsors in the United States, who will now be subject to thorough background checks and financial record reviews, as well as fingerprint requirements.

These measures also include stricter verifications to identify patterns of serial applications. Sponsors will need to demonstrate their financial capacity to support the immigrant beneficiaries. A spokesperson from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned that serial sponsors who do not meet the new requirements or who appear to exploit the process will not be approved.

New applicants will need to comply with the enhanced procedures, ensuring greater control and transparency in the process.
